  2.                          ABOUT RIVER DIPPERS
  3.                   SACRAMENTO FREE BEACH ORGANIZATION
  4.                  Affiliated with The Naturist Society

  6.     River Dippers, started in 1979, is a non-profit organization
  7. dedicated to sharing information about 'free beaches' (those places
  8. where people are free to wear as much or as little as they please)
  9. located in central and northern California.  River Dippers also host a
  10. variety of social events for our members.
  11.  
  12.     River Dippers welcome all who share our open enjoyment of sun,
  13. breeze, water, and good people in natural, outdoor settings,
  14. unbothered by clothing.  We are affiliated with the national free
  15. beach organization, The Naturist Society.

  18.                             OUR ACTIVITIES

  20.     We participate in a wide variety of activities throughout the
  21. year; Seasonal Parties and Potlucks, Monthly Meetings, Skinny-Skiing,
  22. National Nude Weekend, National Naturist Association Gatherings, Nude
  23. Hiking and Backpacking, Canuding, Nude Cruises (through River Dippers
  24. Cruises), Nude Christmas Caroling, Visits to Naturist Clubs and
  25. Resorts, Body Painting, and more.  We also hold informal monthly
  26. meetings to discuss and plan upcoming events

  29.                       SKINNY-DIPPING GUIDESHEETS
  30.  
  31.     We have a five-page set of guidesheets available.  Some of the
  32. best skinny-dipping streams, rivers, and lakes in central and northern
  33. California are shown.  Places where skinny-dipping and nude sunbathing
  34. are locally accepted and, indeed, the preferred way to visit nature
  35. (in the outfit she issued you).  Just send $2 in a self-addressed
  36. stamped envelope (SASE) to us, regardless of whether you order our
  37. newsletter or not.

  40.                             OUR NEWSLETTER
  41.  
  42.     Our quarterly newsletter keeps free beachers informed on
  43. skinny-dipping locations and changes, on current activities in the
  44. nude recreation movement (national, state, and local), and on
  45. occasions when fellow River Dippers may wish to share a beach or other
  46. activities together. Our intent is to keep organization and formality
  47. a minimum and fun in the sun a maximum.

  49.     Our newsletter is published four times per year; February, May,
  50. August, and November.

  52.     Our quarterly newsletter is our connecting link.  All
  53. subscriptions to our River Dippers newsletter are on the same
  54. calendar-year time period; we haven't the time to keep track of it in
  55. any other way. Use the order form below if you would like to join us.

  59.                          NEWSLETTER EXCHANGE

  61.     River Dippers offers newsletter exchange with other nude
  62. recreation organizations throughout the country.  From time to time,
  63. we publish news and information from newsletters received to keep our
  64. members well informed about naturist interests.

  66.     Organization wishing to become a part of this exchange are
  67. encouraged to send us a request.

  70.                           MEMBERS DIRECTORY
  71.  
  72.     Part of the joy of becoming a River Dippers member is meeting and
  73. befriending like-minded people. We encourage these friendships, and to
  74. that end we now offer a directory of members.
  75.  
  76.     Members are listed by first name(s), last name initial, city,
  77. state, zip code, phone number, and interests.
  78.  
  79.     Inclusion in our Members Directory is strictly voluntary. Privacy
  80. is highly respected and no member will be included who does not wish
  81. to be. However, only members listed will be able to obtain a copy of
  82. the directory (availability will be announced in our newsletter).
  83. Additionally, all member information provided to River Dippers is
  84. confidential; it will not be provided to any individuals,
  85. organizations, companies, or media.

  88. joining River Dippers.  Availability of the directory will be
  89. announced in the newsletter.

  92.                         JOINING RIVER DIPPERS

  94.     You can join River Dippers FREE if you join or renew membership in
  95. The Naturist Society (TNS) through us at $30 per year. With TNS
  96. membership, you will receive a membership card, entry into national
  97. organized events and regional gatherings, discounts on items and
  98. publications from TNS's "Naturist Store," and a one-year subscription
  99. to the quarterly magazine, Nude & Natural.

  101.     If you choose not to join TNS, you can still become a River
  102. Dippers member for the "nobody-does-it-cheaper-better" donation of $3
  103. per year!

  105.     River Dippers is a non-profit organization.  Ours is a labor of
  106. love, on an all-volunteer basis.  The $3 donation doesn't fully cover
  107. our out-of-pocket costs (for postage, newsletter reproduction, postal
  108. box rental, guidesheets reproduction, exchange copies to other groups,
  109. stationery, etc.), so if you are able to include an extra donation it
  110. will be greatly appreciated.
